TEKsystems is recognized for their dedication to empowering veterans and military families through innovative career development and community-focused initiatives.
(HANOVER, Md., Nov. 4, 2024) – TEKsystems, a global provider of technology, business and talent solutions for more than 80% of the Fortune 500, is the recipient of the Pat Tillman Foundation’s inaugural Leadership Through Action Award. In honor of their 20th anniversary, the Pat Tillman Foundation acknowledges key organizations for their outstanding dedication to serving active duty service members, veterans and military spouses, including TEKsystems.
The Leadership Through Action Award is one of the highest accolades given by the Pat Tillman Foundation. Inspired by Pat Tillman, the award celebrates organizations that lead with purpose and action by supporting the veteran and military community through transformative initiatives.
“We’re humbled to receive the Leadership Through Action Award from the Pat Tillman Foundation,” said Mark Collins, president of TEKsystems. “We firmly believe in the power of serving others and driving positive change through leadership and action. We’re proud to have helped nearly 20,000 veterans, military service members and spouses find their next career opportunity, and our nearly decade-long partnership with the Pat Tillman Foundation allows us to expand our impact on those who have served.”
TEKsystems has been a long-standing advocate of veterans and military families, working with the Pat Tillman Foundation to provide resources, mentorship and civilian career opportunities for this community. For nearly a decade, TEKsystems has served as the title sponsor of Pat’s Run, the foundation’s signature event.
“TEKsystems embodies the spirit that the Leadership Through Action Award represents,” said Katherine Steele, CEO of the Pat Tillman Foundation and a 2014 Tillman Scholar. “They demonstrate an unwavering commitment to empowering military service members, veterans and spouses through career development and opportunities. We’ll continue to partner with organizations like TEKsystems that share our purpose and vision to empower the next generation of leaders through our Tillman Scholars.”
Meg Cortezi, senior vice president of sales at TEKsystems and member of the Pat Tillman Foundation board of directors, said, “Pat Tillman’s legacy is one of courage, integrity and commitment to a purpose greater than oneself—values that personally inspire me every day. I’m honored for TEKsystems to receive this inaugural award, and I’m grateful for my partners at the Pat Tillman Foundation and the inspiring Tillman Scholars making a lasting impact on their communities.”
